On January 9, 2020, Janelle A. Weber, founder of the Law Office of Janelle A. Weber, P.A., presented on maximizing clients’ opportunities for winning attorneys’ fees.

Ms. Weber and her co-presenters gave the talk at the C. H. Ferguson M. E. White American Inn of Court meeting at the Chester H. Ferguson Law Center in downtown Tampa.

The presentation provided helpful tips to attorneys for protecting their clients’ best interests and avoiding malpractice claims. Ms. Weber discussed key points to remember when seeking attorneys’ fees from the opposing party and avoiding adverse fee judgments.

Ms. Weber has been a barrister member of the C. H. Ferguson M. E. White American Inn of Court since 2017. American Inns of Court are designed to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar. Ms. Weber is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

“Litigation can be extremely expensive,” Ms. Weber said. “Lawyers should make sure they’re doing everything in their power to win attorneys’ fees for their client and avoid paying the other side’s fees.”
